First Tripadvisor review....yeah! :-)

“Fantastic personal tour of the Nelson, NZ area.”

Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Our time with Annie Haswell was one of the highlights of our trip to New Zealand. Annie met us at the Picton Ferry and drove us via the scenic Queen Charlotte Drive to Nelson, stopping on the way to enjoy a delicious picnic lunch she had prepared, complete with home baked cookies and lemon cake. She took us by our B&B to drop off our bags and then drove us to the World of WearableArt Gallery (recommended). The next day when bad weather cancelled our boat trip to Abel Tasman Park, Annie came up with alternative plans, driving us to a number of artists' open studios and showing us the highlights of the Nelson area. The third day she drove us to Blenheim to catch the train to Christchurch. (This was the last train to make that journey before the tracks were wiped out in the earthquake that night.)

Annie is a delightful person and a knowledgable tour guide. She happy to go the extra mile to make your visit to her part of NZ special and memorable. Her SUV is spacious and comfortable. Her lemon cake is to die for, and she'll even share her recipe with you. By the end of our first day we considered her not just our guide, but a friend.

Spring has sprung here in the Nelson Tasman Region, gardens will be at their best in November. But September is a great time to see spring flowering trees and plants and little lambs frolicking in the fields.
